The Rotherham County Borough Control is located Junction of A630 and A6123 in a former works compound. The building is a rectangular concrete surface blockhouse, the entrance is in the middle of one side, the left as it is viewed, this is now boarded up. On the roof is what looks like an exhaust (?) shaft, there's also an escape hatch protected by a brick structure which was open, I didn't venture in at this time however! I don't know much about this, other than it was built around 1954, any further information would be appreciated. |
